A short story before Shabbat

this is a cute little thing I heard yesterday to close Yom Ha'atzmaut:
A really good friend of mine, who happens to be very Frum (I know him from the army, when we shared many hours in the IDF Nachal Charedi unit - Netzach Yehudah - but that's for another day), told me yesterday that his brother, walking through Mea Shearim Erev Yom Ha'atzmaut stated talking to a local Neturai Karta dude, (for those of you who don't know, they still fast and Say Kinnot on Yom Haaztzmaut), of course the conversation had to end up going to the Yom Haaztmaut end and at one point during the conversation my friends brother basically told him that he will never understand those guys - it's one thing not to celebrate on Yom Haatzmaut but to go out of your way to mourn on that day, is just a little to much.
afterward my friend's brother told my friend that you have to go through deep psychological treatment in order to understand those nuts! Once again this is coming from a person who is VERY frum, and even the frum people think that these people are nuts!

in conclusion I ask myself 2 things:
1. Do the Super Duper Frum Jews in the States go out of their way to mourn on the 4th of July??
2. (going back to the whole "to Yom Hashoa or not to - that is the question") if all morning days have to be on 9th of Av - why do they mourn on Yom Haatzmaut?

Shabbat Shalom to you all,
שבת שלום,
עולה ישן
(no it's not greek it's in hebrew - change your encoding and you will see it!)
