The answer is nothing. G-d can only help you when you make the decision to put the car into drive. If you're just standing still, you're not going anywhere. -OC
Sabra, it's so funny that you put that quote in. When I was struggling on whether I wanted to stay religious, I used to think that a conservative friend of mine was a lot more "religious" than me. Why? Because she went to shul every week, and I didn't. Of course, she, either drove or took the subway, but I used to think the because she went to shul she was more Jewish than me. I thought maybe I should be conservative. It just seemed she was more into it than I was. It took a room-mate of mine saying that G-d doesn't command you to go to shul on Shabbat, but he does command you to keep the Mitzvot on Shabbat and of Kosher, etc. Just because she went to shul didn't make her a better or more religious than me.
That statement really meant a lot to me, or your quote reminded me of it. Thanks a lot for it. I really like it. -OC

on the topic of cars and G-d..i would like to share a nifty quote that i've read-
"going to the synagogue makes you a jew no more than going to the garage makes you a car"
