The Car of the Future

This is just too cool. The clip is taken from a British car show called "Top Gear" that my wife and I just love. They are supposed to be the Gurus of Cars in GB and if they say this is the car of the future I am not going to argue with them!

It's all nice and cool, but so far, there is no cheap and ecological way to produce hydrogen. Nowadays they produce hydrogen by separating it from salty water using rather a lot of electricity.
How we get electricity?
We get it by:
a) burning oil, coal or gas
b) blocking rivers
c) nuclear reactors
d) inefficient solar panels, which are produced in very polluting and hazardous process
e) "bird killing" wind generators

There is a hope thou...
In France a international project takes shape. They are building a reactor of a new type, that will produce energy by fusion.

woland, that's a very pessimistic way of looking at things. In any case, this won't be succesfful unless people will be promised, like with the hybrid, that they won't be giving up anything to buy it. It'll be the same size, price, and speed capabalities as a gas car, but it's environmentally friendly. Until then, it won't do any better than those crappy inefficient electric cars.
