It's been awhile...

Two quick tid-bits of information. One, the Katyusha rockets that have falled on Tzfat are the first rockets to fall on the city in 20-30 years. We're watching on the news that a whole bunch of residents are just standing around the news cameras. The Mayor of Tzfat has stated that because it's been such a long time since a rocket has hit the city, the shelters are not equipped to handle the situation or the amount of people. At least one building in Tzfat has been completely decimated by the rocket attacks.

Many weddings that were scheduled for today, secular I assume since it's the start of the three wks, (Again, for those of you not in the know, these 3 wks are supposed to be a period of mourning, where no weddings are held, and people are not supposed to listen to live music.) have been cancelled. I got married up north, in Achziv, which is just 10-15 minutes away from the Northern border. If our wedding had been today, which it wouldn't have been since I'm religious, it definitely would have had to be cancelled and postponed until a later date. I understand what the brides and grooms must be feeling. It's terrible to have a Simcha ruined, and especially under these kinds of circumstances.
