News Updates: 7/14/06 - Signing Off For Shabbat

Well, Shabbat is starting in just a few minutes, so this will be my last news update until tomorrow night, at 8:45 PM my time. In our apartment, our cell-phones will be on in case my family up north has serious updates for us. (Personally, this is my first phone-on on Shabbat since moving to Israel. It's not a good feeling.) We will also be leaving our TV on mute just in case something serious happens that we need to know about. In case, it seems uber-serious, we will break Shabbat to turn on the volume.
Have a peaceful and safe Shabbat. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

7:28 PM: Channel 2 is confirming what my parents heard, and the first Katyusha rocket has hit INSIDE Carmiel.

7:14 PM: Arutz 7 is reporting that more rockets have landed in Nahariya just moments ago. No reported injuries yet.

My family is reporting that they just heard explosions, meaning another rocket landed in the Carmiel area.

Minutes ago, more rockets are falling in Tzfat. No injuries reported yet.

As of now, more than 800 Ketyusha rockets and mortars have been fired into Israel since yesterday morning.

Another huge hole was blown into the Gaza-Egypt border wall, after which hundreds of Palestinian residents breached the border.

Egypt and Jordan have condemned Israel's attacks on Lebanon.

Jpost is reporting that Greece has condemned Israel's attacks in Lebanon.

The IAF is attacking Hezbollah radio stations in Southern Beirut.
