Nightly News Headlines: ("Cease-Fire*) Day 34

10:40 PM: It has been confirmed that the 2 journalists kidnapped in Gaza are Fox News reporters.

-Reservists have put together and are collected signatures for a petition that calls for continuing the fight in Lebanon until the 2 kidnapped soldiers are released; something that was set out as a pre-condition for any cease-fire by Olmert and Secretary Rice.

-France has said that its troops taking part in UNIFIL will not assist or take part in disarming Hezbollah.

-Nasrallah also said tonight that he will not give in to Israeli demands to unconditionally release the 2 kidnapped soldiers; something that is not part of the cease-fire agreement.
Furthermore, he stated, since the Lebanon Army is too weak to protect Lebanon, Hezbollah will NOT disarm as they will be the ones to protect the Lebanese people from Israel.

9:24 PM: Channel 2 is going over the International news from today's events: NOT ONE STORY DONE ON THE ISRAELI SIDE OF THE BORDER. THE ONLY STORY IN RELATION TO ISRAEL IS THE SOLDIERS LEAVING. NOTHING ON THE EFFECTS OF THE KATYUSHA OR ISRAELI REFUGEES.

8:46 PM: Reservist Soldiers are refusing to go on missions within Lebanon based on the argument that they would be risking their life for nothing.

8:39 PM: The parents of Oz Tzemach, an Israeli soldier, part of Armory, spoke with President Katzav. They criticized the government and Army for their poor execution and strategy of the war, especially when it came to tanks. More than half the soldiers killed in the fighting with Hezbollah have been from Armory, or tanks. One of the main criticisms was about how the tanks were sent into the field, when, and how they were used. It's been discovered that the majority of the tanks went in all alone, with no infantry or other tank back-up. *Traditionally, tanks are supposed to attack in packs of dozens or even hundreds, along with infantry forces, in order to overwhelm the enemy and prevent their own casualties. That did not happen here.*

8:20 PM: Nasrallah speaking now:
-"This is an historic and strategic victory."
-"I thank Lebanon for their sacrifices."
-"I will operate within the Lebanese government."
-Stop trying to publically argue and negotiate about disarming Hezbollah from its weapons. It will not happen.

8:09 PM: Syrian President Assad made a statement tonight, saying that there is an alternative to peace and that the Golan will be released into Syrian hands.

The PA is reporting that Israel has released their Minister of Employment from prison.

7:14 PM: Home-Front Command are telling northern residents that they may start returning to their homes and sleep there tonight. They also say that people should return to routine but to avoid large gatherings.
