Nightly News Updates: Day 29

9:48 PM:Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah made his first apearance in several days tonight. In his speech on Al-Manar TV, Hezbollah's flagship station, he threatened that if Israeli troops expand their operation in southern Lebanon, he will turn the entire area into a "grave-yard". He also stated that Hezbollah was only killing officers and soldiers, but that Israel was only killing women and children. (*He's reaching! He hasn't made due on his Tel-Aviv promise yet. I won't hold my breath here, either.*)

Over 160 rockets were launched into Israel today. Several houses in Kiryat Shmona were directly hit. Over 80 Katyushas hit the city as the government was attempting to evacuate about 500 residents. They had to stall at least twice, as air-raid sirens sounded as they loading people on the bus. They did make it out alright.

At least 16 soldiers were evacuated to Nahariya hospital today. They were injured during fighting in southern Lebanon. No word yet on the extent of the injuries.

Since fighting began, the IDF has taken at least 20 Hezbollah terrorists under arrest.
