Sunday Night Headlines: Day 33

Here is an English version of Channel 2's 8:00 PM news. After this was already recorded, the IAF shot down 2 Hezbollah drones that were laden with explosives and flying towards central Israel. More Katyushas have been fired into Israel, especially in Kiryat Shmona. It was also publicized that at least 5 soldiers died in today's fighting. Another update that was not included was that after Lebanese PM Seniora indefinitely postponed the vital meeting that would decided where the 15,000 Lebanese forces would be deployed, and what their duties would be, UN Secretary General Anan and US Secretary of State Rice called Seniora. They admonished Seniora for not holding the meeting, which a vital aspect of their part of the "cease-fire" agreement. They said that Lebanon had agreed to the cease-fire agreement, and this could derail the whole process. They added that if the meeting was not held by tomorrow 7:00 Am dead-line, when the "cease-fire" is going into effect, they would "not be responsible for the consequences". As reported before, Nasrallah contacted his Representative in Parliament, he is also part of the parliament but is incognito at this time, and told him to tell Seniora that he will NOT DISCUSS, AT ALL, the possibility of disarming, period. He also stated that if Lebanese forces attempt to disarm Hezbollah south of the Litani, there would be dire consequences. Like I said, even if Nasrallah saves Israel from this disaster, it doesn't change the fact that the power and victory has been handed over to Nasrallah.

Have a good and safe night. I'll see you at 0700.01 when Hezbollah continues to fire rockets into Israel as the "cease-fire" takes effect.

He didn't win so much as we, the West and Israel, gave him a victory.
