Smuggled Lulavim Apprehended by Authorities

Border police and Agriculture Ministry inspectors on Thursday apprehended 100,000 lulavim, palm braches used for the upcoming Sukkot holiday.

The smuggled lulavim were found in a storage facility in Moshav Zarhiya in the Lachish district.

Inspectors fear the lulavim were smuggled from an area which is prohibited by Agriculture Ministry officials, posing a hazard to Israeli farmers.
