Muslims Give The World Definition of Irony

(Hat Tip: LGF)
So, the Muslims of the world are pist that the Pope made some innane reference that slightly made a connection between Islam and violence. So... they respond to this "accusation" with... violence. Now, that's the definition of IRONY. They are demanding that the Pope apologize for his words, which he already has, and are threatening... more violence if he does not capitulate to their demands.

OK, OK, hold on a second here. I'm trying to dissect the logic here. You're a Muslim that's pist about the Pope or any-one else remotely associating Islam with violence, so you respond with... VIOLENCE?!? I just don't get it. How do you NOT see where some-one might get the "wrong impression" of your religion when every time some-one pisses you off in some way or accuses you of violence, you respond with VIOLENCE? Do you not see the connection? Hmmm.... OK. I'm not a Muslim, so maybe that's why I just don't get the logic here.

Arab op-ed: Pope’s remarks may lead to war.

Hussein Shabakshy wrote in an article published by the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat, “It is clear that such remarks only contribute to the fueling of the fire raging between Islam and the West. There is no difference between Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri speaking from their caves in Tora Bora and the stage of an important Christian saint. Both parties contribute to the world verbal weapons for mass destruction.”
[...]
“These are ignorant comments previously made by Adolf Hitler, who spoke of a supreme white race against all the other races, especially the African race.”

Somali Cleric Calls for Pope's Death

A HARDLINE cleric linked to Somalia’s powerful Islamist movement has called for Muslims to “hunt down” and kill Pope Benedict XVI for his controversial comments about Islam.

Sheikh Abubukar Hassan Malin urged Muslims to find the pontiff and punish him for insulting the Prophet Mohammed and Allah in a speech that he said was as offensive as author Salman Rushdie’s novel The Satanic Verses.

“We urge you Muslims wherever you are to hunt down the Pope for his barbaric statements as you have pursued Salman Rushdie, the enemy of Allah who offended our religion,” he said in Friday evening prayers.

“Whoever offends our Prophet Mohammed should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim,” Malin, a prominent cleric in the Somali capital, told worshippers at a mosque in southern Mogadishu.

“We call on all Islamic Communities across the world to take revenge on the baseless critic called the pope,” he said.

Palestinians Attacking Christian Churches

Assailants angry at Pope Benedict XVI’s comments on Islam targeted several churches across the Palestinian territories on the second day of attacks directed at the Christian church.

In Gaza City, a group calling itself the Islamic Organization of the Swords of Righteousness claimed responsibility for unleashing a volley of gunfire on the oldest church in the city.

“We carried out this shooting because of the pope’s statement, and he must apologise,” the caller, who refused to give his name, told AFP Saturday.

The attack came a day after a grenade exploded outside the same church and four days after the pope criticised connections between Islam and violence, particularly with regard to jihad, or “holy war”.

In the West Bank town of Nablus, gunmen threw Molotov cocktails at four churches of different denominations, Palestinian security sources told AFP.

In one incident, gunmen opened fire inside an empty Catholic church after the building’s entrance door was burnt down, the sources said.

The Falasha Mura aren't Jews. They may be descendents of Jews but there was intermarriage over the course of 100s and 1000s of generations. They come in under the Law of Entry and not the Law of Return and have to convert. Many of them come because ISrael is a better situation for them than Ethiopia and Israel will take them. Also, as you know, the absorption of Ethiopian immigrants and other 3rd world immigrants exerts a huge cost on Israeli society. But, again, the Falasha Mura aren't Jews. The Beta Israel of the 80s are

The Falash Mura are undergoing conversion as we speak. Just because they weren't "real Jews" at the start of the process has nothing to do with what they are now. Am, no offense, but you sound like a State Department official from the 1930s and 1940s when they said that the immigration quota couldn't be adjusted for the European Jews in desperate need of salvation from certain death.

I don't care what the cost is. These people, these JEWS, need our help. No-one else is going to help them, just like no-one helped the Jews 60 years ago. These people will pay back in healthy contributions back to the society. Is that what you want to do? Limit immigration strictly to people who will "alleviate" costs to Israeli society?!? Besides this, if you had read the entire article, you would know that donations and fund-raisers are going to be covering a lot of the costs.

If Jews can't find salvation in the Jewish State, then this country doesn't deserve to exist. Saving Jews might not be the country's primary goal now, but it's still a big part of it, and your response is just astounding to me. I can't believe you said that. I really can't. Whatever the cost it will be to you and I personally, and the country as a whole, it doesn't matter. I'd rather have my taxes raised to cover the costs, than to see these people die or suffer another forced conversion and become slaves. Geese, I'm sorry that I'm such a sap!
