Some Jews Feel Need to Pacify Also

In a weak and pathetic attempt to pacify Muslim anger and the new rampage against alleged offensives, this time from the Pope, the Chief Sephardi Rabbi has also come out and condemned the Pope's comments.
Rabbi Amar Pacifies Muslims After Pope's Remarks

Chief Sephardic Rabbi Shlomo Amar wrote a Muslim sheikh Sunday, "Our way is to honor every religion and every nation according to their paths." He wrote Sheikh Yusef Kardawi that a conflict between countries should not be "turned into a war of religions."

The letter in Arabic, with a preface by Tekoa Rabbi Menachem Froman and delivered by the Islamic Movement in Israel, was written following an uproar in the Muslim world over remarks made by Pope Benedict, who quoted a 14th century reference to Islam as being violent. Rabbi Froman wrote, "We know... that the war between the Jews and the Muslims is the work of the cursed devil. We know that Islam is named after peace."

I want to respect the Rabbi, but I'm sorry. If his head was any farther up appeasement's butt, he'd be coming out of its mouth. It's an absolutely pathetic attempt to maybe gain ground or give a "pacifier" to those that are committed to killing every JEW; even if you try to play nice with them.
