Huh??? I mean... huh!

The dichotomy and paradox of the Israeli-Arab community has been revealed yet again today. Nowhere else in the Middle East do Arabs have such equal rights and power within the government as they do within Israel, but they still see themselves as being duty-bound to oppose the Israeli Oppressor. That is, even-though they are a citizen of the Oppressor. Anyways, it is well known to anybody that bothers to look that the majority of the Israeli-Arab communities want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be separate but still get full Israeli benefits. They complain they are not treated equally, but when the Israeli government wants to do so, they threaten violence. They want to remain part of the "ancient" Palestinian "plight" but still get Social Security. They scream to be part of the Knesset, but they still threaten those that "collaborate" with Israel as if it is equal to adultery. Today, came another perfect example. There are rumors that an Arab-Israeli Knesset member might be offered to fill in the Minister spot that might be vacated by Labor MK, Minister Ophir Pines-Paz on the appointment of Yisrael Beiteinu to the Coalition. The response to the offering of new-found power and equality for the Israeli-Arab community:
MK Tibi: Any Arab in Pines-Paz’s position will be disgraced leper for eternity

MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) commented Monday on the possibility of an Arab being appointed as Science, Technology, Culture, and Sports Minister in place of current Science, Technology, Culture, and Sports Minister Ophir Pines-Paz.

“Any Arab that crawls into that position in the place of Minister Ophir Piner-Paz will be smeared in tar and feathers, dragged through the city streets, and remain a disgraced leper for eternity,” Tibi said.

Makes sense to me...
