Reflections Of A Super Bowl

Now, this was the first exciting Super Bowl to watch in a while. Just look at what happened in the first half alone:
-Pouring Rain
-Kick-off return for a touch-down; the first in SB history.
-6 Turn-overs; 3 a piece.
-Missed PAT by the Colts; another bad snap gone awry. Now, that was a fun one to watch.
-Vinatieri's first missed field goal of the post season; from 36 yards away.
-Score: 16-14, Colts.
That was just the first half! The second half was a little bit less exciting. The Colts held onto to the ball for most of the time. The Bears' offense was barely on the field. When they were, Grossman was an embarrassment of riches. Two back to back sacks. Two back to back fumbles. I mean, Rex will almost certainly NOT be back with the Bears next year. My prediction of Manning's experience and poise beating Grossman's exuberance was right on the money. Final score:
29-17, Colts. Peyton Manning won the MVP. But, really, after watching the game, who else did much of anything?

Some weird things I noticed during the game:
-Every time the Bears' Muhsan Muhammad touched the ball, the crowd booed him. And, I mean, really loudly. Does any-body know what that was all about?
-The commercials were really sub-par this year, with the exception of the fan made Doritos commercials. Those were really good. But, c'mon, for $2.7 million for a 30 second spot, you would think that companies would do everything they could to make the most creative commercials possible. But, no, these were commercials I'd expect to see at any time during the year. These were not Super-Bowl caliber commercials. Not too mention the fact that a majority of the commercials seemed to belong to CBS.
-The TV crew did not do a very good job of keeping the cameras dry during the rain filled game. A lot of the game was spent watching haloed blurred out players.

All in all, it was a lot of fun. A lot beer was consumed and no chips or dip were left for morning. The game ended at a little after 5:00 AM, Israel time. There's a reason this is a once a year event. I couldn't do it more times than that. So, until next year...

You really don't know? "MOOOOSE!!!!!" (His nickname.) Basically, any player who has an "oos" sound in his name seems to get that. (DEUCE McAlister, MOOSE Johnson [old Cowboy], etc.)

How ugly were those two picks by Grossman!? It's one thing to throw poorly. It's quite another to throw like a g- errr, duck. Those things hung up there for about 3-4 seconds! That's a LONG time in football - the second one was like a punt.
